The American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) serves the public and the field of obesity medicine by maintaining standards for assessment and credentialing physicians. Certification as an ABOM diplomate signifies specialized knowledge in the practice of obesity medicine and distinguishes a physician as having achieved competency in obesity care

Studies show that regular physical activity is as good as or better at treating many health conditions than the medications we often prescribe.
Physical activity is effective for the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases and health conditions including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, depression, and many types of cancer. In short, regular physical activity is the number one way to help you feel better, move better, and live longer, and best of all it’s free.
Our goal is to help every patient to engage in regular physical activity as part of their everyday life.
Our fitness professionals and physicians will assess your strength and cardiovascular (heart) fitness level and provide you with a physical activity prescription and physical activity goals that meet your specific needs. We will also re-evaluate you after you have worked with our fitness professionals to determine your level of improvement over time.
