Where Expertise Meets Patient Results
The American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) serves the public and the field of obesity medicine by maintaining standards for assessment and credentialing physicians. Certification as an ABOM diplomate signifies specialized knowledge in the practice of obesity medicine and distinguishes a physician as having achieved competency in obesity care
What The Program Includes
Nutrition and exercise assessment. Physician support is available whenever required.
Weekly in-house coaching sessions for nutrition and exercise.
Bi-weekly in-house coaching sessions for nutrition and exercise.
Month 3 & 4
Bi-weekly online coaching sessions for nutrition and exercise.
Month 5 & 6
Monthly online coaching sessions for nutrition and exercise.
Physician support is available at scheduled intervals throughout your health transformation journey. For patients on certain medications, a closer follow-up is available. On your intake assessment, the doctor will ensure that the program is tailored to your specific medical conditions and medications. We have access to expedited physician services for patients requiring help with psychiatric/mood issues, orthopedic/joint issues, sleep issues/sleep apnea assessment, and smoking cessation.
Who This Program Is For
People with Type 2 Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes
We have been able to help some of our patients reduce/discontinue insulin and other type 2 diabetes medications. We have had some patients’ diabetes go into remission.
Several Common Metabolic Conditions
Including PCOS, Fatty Liver, Metabolic Syndrome and Insulin resistance-related conditions. The program focuses on balancing and stabilizing our bodies’ response to the hormone insulin. Our medical team is here to monitor you and to manage your medications to ensure that you are safely making positive lifestyle changes to improve your health.
People Who Thrive With Accountability
A lot of us know what we need to do, but it can be very hard to make lasting positive lifestyle changes without accountability. Our coaching program will keep you on track to meet your health goals
People for whom eating less and exercising more does not work
Your body has mechanisms in place to make this a difficult method to manage weight. If eating less, move more hasn’t worked in the past, this program is for you.
Our patients report improvements in energy levels and ease of incorporating lifestyle changes into their busy lives. We offer evening coaching appointments in addition to daytime appointments to help keep you on track.
Who is This Program Not For?
Currently this program is not intended for patients who are pregnant, patients who are underweight and patients who are under 18 years of age
